Entertaining made easy with these quick and delicious Caprese Baguette Toasts. For more flavor and flair, add pesto to each slice!
Serves 8 – 12
Ingredients:
- 1 Essential Baking baguette
- 1 lb fresh mozzarella, cut into 30 pieces
- 1-pint cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼ cup balsamic glaze
- ½ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- Sea salt flakes to taste
Instructions:
- Slice the baguette:
- Use a serrated bread knife to cut the baguette into 30 slices, ¼ inch thick.
- Prepare the crostini:
- Lightly brush each slice with olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt.
- Assemble the crostini:
- Add a slice of mozzarella to each crostini toast. Add a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Then add basil leaves, cherry tomato halves and a sprinkle of sea salt flakes to each toast.
