The Essential Baking Company believes that beyond our business activities, we have an obligation and an opportunity to support our community in the following areas; basic needs (food and shelter), health and wellness, the environment, food integrity and cultural/art events.
Each month we make in-kind donations of baked goods to food banks throughout our region. We also make in-kind donations and “Baker’s Dozen” Gift Certificates” to other 501(c)(3) organizations for their fundraising events. In addition our cafes support various community needs such as The Essential Baking Company Sospeso (Suspended Coffee) Project.

We also make a limited number of more significant donations to organizations, including the following, which support our designated community needs:
To request a donation: Please send a letter and your procurement form, if necessary, explaining your organization, the event details (including date and location), and how we can be recognized for our contribution.
Due to the high volume of requests we ask for at least 60 days advance notice. Decisions for each month will be made at the beginning of the prior month (example: requests for events in March will be contacted by the first week in February, if we are able to make a contribution).
