The Essential Baking Company’s Rosemary Bread at Seattle’s 4th Ave. Costco.

We hand pick rosemary every day for our Artisan Organic Rosemary Bread.

It’s 100% organic, hand crafted, never frozen, preservative free and comes in an oxygen-free package that will keep your unopened bread fresh in your pantry for weeks. We partially bake the bread before packaging so you can finish the baking process in your oven at home in just 8-10 minutes!

It’s stress free bread! Pre-heat your oven to 425, remove bread from the packaging. Put bread directly on your oven rack and bake for just 8-10 minutes.

Here’s a tip: when you slice a warm loaf of bread, cut it upside down to allow the loaf to keep its shape.

Fresh baked bread when you want it. Always fresh, never frozen from The Essential Baking Company.

  1. The Rosemary bread at Costco doesn’t list YEAST under the ingredients which tells me there is no YEAST in this product. Is this correct? Patty Irish

    • Hi Patty- Thanks for your question. There is no added commercial yeast in many of our breads, including the Rosemary. Staying true to tradition,we leaven many of our breads with one (or more) of five natural starters that we cultivate (ferment) here in the bakery from flour and water. These starters are live cultures of complex microbiological systems, including yeasts and lactobacilli, which leaven and impart unique flavors to the bread. As far as labeling goes, these microbes are not an “ingredient”, and so do not need to be listed on the ingredient statement. Obviously the flour and water used in the starters are ingredients and are included in the ingredient statement. As far as various dietary limitations go, this has been a debate for many years- the thing to remember here is that the culture is totally killed in the oven- there is no live yeast or any other microbes in a baked loaf of bread. If dietary limitations are a concern, you can consult with your physician, and provide the information in this post.

    • Hi Lisa,
We currently don’t have plans to come to New York. Our new Bake-At-Home bread and our Gluten Free Super Seeded Multigrain come in a Stay-Fresh-Pack and are currently being sold at Northwest Costco locations. You could try filling out a request form at your local Costco. We’ll continue to keep you updated on our availability at our website, blog, Facebook and Twitter.
